Playoffs--Round #1

Basking in the glory of a big win!

Bed time!

Tonight we played Hillsboro in Round #1 of the playoffs.  It wasn't much of a game.  We beat them handily.  The final score was 45-14 and they scored in the final quarter against the JV team.  It was super cold and we spent some time in Daddy's truck before heading up to the booth.  We didn't want to distract Daddy too much, but we were excited to watch the game in the warmth.  This was Ada's very first Bullets game, and she slept through it all!  

Good Behavior

Alex had excellent behavior during the month of October.  He also had perfect attendance.  Purple days are exceptional behavior and green is good behavior.  Proud of him.

Amelia's Party

Amelia had a Halloween party today at school.  I made little sucker ghosts for her to hand out to all her friends.  She came home with a crazy amount of candy.

Alex's Class Halloween Party

Today Ada and I went to help at Alex's Halloween Party at school.  They had lots of fun crafts, games, and snacks.  They ended with an all Kindergarten parade for the rest of the school.  It was early dismissal so Alex came home with us!  We even stopped and picked Amelia up and we spent the afternoon at home together,

Trick or Treat

Tonight we went Trick or Treating.  Daddy was able to go with us for a little while before he had to leave to go teach class at Benedictine.  We were gone for about an hour and made it home just as the rain came down.  Alex and Amelia had just as much fun answering the door and handing out candy. As the night came to an end we ran out of candy in the middle of a big group of kids.  Alex was quick to run go get his bag of candy and share with the kids at the door.  I sure was proud of him.  We did have plenty to share though.  Never gonna lose the baby weight with all this yummy candy to snack on.

Williamsville had Trick or Treating tonight because we have Round #1 of football playoffs tomorrow night.  I'm glad we will be able to do both.

Foto Fail

Amelia and Ada both had shirts that said 'Daddy is Under my Spell'  so of course I needed a picture of them with Daddy.  As you can see from the photos things did not go so well!!

Today was Cowboy/Cowgirl dress up day at school.  We've got a pretty handsome cowboy on our hands I think.  Amelia and Ada enjoyed some snuggles before heading off to school for the day.  Ada and Momma had lunch with the girls from work and then had some snuggle time afterwards.   I'm enjoying staying home with this little lady.

Tradition

I've shoved Alex and Amelia into a cold wet pumpkin, so I had to keep the tradition alive.  Unfortunately, for Ada she was much smaller so it seems a little more abusive.  She was in for literally 15 seconds and was back out.  Isn't she so cute though?!  As you can see she was fine as soon as she was back in her Momma's arms.  The other two were just as amused as I was.  Daddy definitely felt sorry for Ada, but someone had to take the pictures.

Jack-o-Lanterns

I realized that we hadn't carved our pumpkins yet, so we quickly got down to business.  I love doing this every year, and with a new baby and football playoffs this week we needed to do it today or it probably wasn't going to happen.

The kids helped clean out the guts (well a little bit) and then Alex helped carve his pumpkin.  Amelia was more interested in the end result only.  We were all happy with they way the turned out.  We introduce to you the Incredible Hulk and Hello Kitty.  

The best part may have been the roasted pumpkin seeds though!  Alex and Amelia really liked them too.
