Bath Time!

Tonight Amelia had her first bath at home. She seemed to enjoy, as she did no squacking or crying. Alex on the other hand was very jealous that Mommy was giving Amelia a bath and not paying attention to him. It was extremely drama filled. Needless to say, he survived!

Please disregard the large bruises on my arms in these pictures. I had a little bad luck with my IV's at the hospital. I promise Adam didn't beat me.

Meeting Trista

Our good friend Trista came today to meet Amelia. She was on a baby visiting tour, as our friend Laura had a baby a few days before me, so she got to meet Mia too. We had a nice time visiting, but Amelia refused to wake up for her.

Trista also brought Alex a birthday present, Another Monster at the End of the Book! Daddy and Alex can enjoy that one together!! I'm sure Amelia would like to be in on the excitement too.

Memorial Day Cook Out

After we got home from the hospital we unloaded the car and showed Amelia around her new house! Then Nana, Papa, Uncle Thomas, Aunt Amy, Gabbi, & Thomas came over to cook lunch for us. Actually they cooked lots of meals for us. We aren't going to be cooking all week!! That's a true treat for Mommy! Aunt Amy did lots of cleaning for us too! Mommy gets to spend the whole rest of the week just chilling with our new princess.

We also celebrated Alex and Amelia's birthdays since Nana & Papa leave for Italy on Thursday. Well it should have been my birthday celebration too, but Nana forgot to put candles on the cake for me!! Don't worry she brought me a present so I'll forgive her. Alex got a lawn mower for part of his present. Daddy just wishes it really worked, because Alex had the backyard mowed several times over!!

Daddy's principal, Mr. Galusha, brought over spaghetti with homemade sauce, fresh salad, and bread so that's another meal Mommy doesn't have to cook! What a lucky lady! I could get used to having dinner brought over every night!

Today Amelia also met Aunt Angie and the neighbors across the street, Dave & Liz. They are such a great couple and Alex really loves to go visit with them. All in all a pretty busy day for Amelia's first day home.

Coming Home

Early Monday morning, Daddy and Alex headed back out to the hospital to bring Mommy and Amelia home. It was a busy, wild and wonderful weekend, but we were all very happy to be headed home with our new little girl!

Snuggle Time

After our nap Alex took a little time to get better acquainted with his new sister. He sure does love her. He has told us several times that "She's cute!"

Alex and Daddy went home to sleep and Mommy sent Amelia to the nursery to get one more good nights sleep before we head home.

We had several other visitors at the hospital too. Mostly Mommy's friends who have anxiously awaited Miss Amelia's arrival as well. They are the ones that listened to Mommy complain when she felt yucky from being pregnant. I couldn't ask for more supportive ladies in my life!! Love them all! Plus they all spoiled Amelia with lots of gifts!!

Meeting the Family

Saturday morning and afternoon it was just Mommy, Daddy, and Amelia hanging out at the hospital. About 3 pm we were bombarded with visitors. Uncle Thomas, Aunt Amy, Gabbi, Thomas, Nana & Papa brought Alex to the hospital. Also visiting was Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Travis, Aunt Sara, Evalee, Uncle Trevor & Aunt Ashley. Then Kyle Hawkins stopped by for a visit. It was a very busy few hours, but so great to be surrounded by all our family!!

Alex left with Grandma & Grandpa for a sleepover with them. I think he enjoyed playing with Evalee too!! We're so blessed with family that is willing to help us out.

Baby Meets Baby

Alex got a little sister and his Baby got a new little sister too!! Thanks EE for the bear!!!

Alex Meets Amelia

Alex was pretty overwhelmed when he walked into the hospital room. There were so many visitors there! He immediately came and sat on my lap and Daddy brought Amelia over to us. His face lit up and he was just as in love as we were when he laid eyes on her. He's doing very good with and is proving that he is going to be a great big brother just like we thought!!
