A New Table

Tonight Daddy and the kids put together the new table and chairs that Nana and Papa got them for their birthday.  They were so excited to get to sit at it, and loved playing in the empty box.  Good thing Daddy is patient because it took a long time to get it all put together.  We love it!  Thanks Nana and Papa!

Celebration

This morning we are celebrating Alex's 4th birthday at school by taking cupcakes and juice, the kids actually wanted to get their picture taken together, and it's the last day of Spring Session for Mommy!!  So much to be happy about.

Birthday Cake

She yelled, "It's my birthday!"

Amelia loved having Happy Birthday sung to her.  We did it twice.  Once so I could record it on video and again so I could take pictures.  After cake we headed upstairs for baths and then it was back to the baby dolls.  Alex was using the car seat as an Asian inspired sun hat.

Rock Band

After a delicious birthday dinner of pork chops, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans, Alex and Amelia played rock band.  Watching them play guitar was pretty funny!  Then we read If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, which is one of Amelia's favorite books.  As you can tell she was getting kind of crabby so we decided it was time for cake, bath, and bed!

Present Time

After we got home this evening, Amelia opened the rest of her gifts.  She screamed with excitement the entire time.  She ended up with baby bottles, bowl and spoons, a stroller, car seat, baby carrier, and high chair.  The girl is over the moon excited.  She loves her babies!!

The Birthday Girl

This morning we started the day off by singing Happy Birthday to Amelia and letting her open one of her presents.  She was pretty happy with her new purse, but what girl doesn't get excited over a new purse?!  She also got to wear her new Scooby Doo shirt to school.  She took animal crackers to share with her friends at school.  She was excited to see her cake, but was not as thrilled about the photo opp.

Ear Piercing

Today was they day Amelia has been waiting for.  OK, maybe not totally but she has been asking for earrings in her ears.  So, today we headed to the mall to get it done.  She cried, but only for a few minutes. By the time we were done paying she was done crying.  The end result is a happy girl with pretties in her ears!!!

After that we took the kids to play in the St. John's Children's play area.  Then it was off to eat at the grand opening of Five Guys burgers.  YUM!!

Hill Prairie Winery

Today Mommy and Daddy had a date day.  We headed out to buy birthday presents for the little ones in our life first.  Then we headed over to Oakford, IL to a little winery with our friends the Compardo's.  I'm not much of a wine drinker, but I found some I liked.  I may have had a little too much fun!  Thank God Daddy behaved!!

Grandma and Papa came over to watch the kids.  They went to the Huddle House for lunch, shopping at Toys R Us (yes Alex wanted everything in the store), and went to a graduation party for Shaye Kershaw.  Alex was excited to get to hang out with his buddy, Aarik, from school.  A fun filled day for everyone!!!
