It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!!

Today we enjoyed the 80 degree weather by hanging out in the backyard after work. We swang on the swing and played in the grass while Daddy hit golf balls and Briggs retrieved them. We grilled some chicken and zucchini and had baked potatoes. Alex loved it all!! We're so glad spring has sprung!!

You Spin Me Right Round Baby!!

Alex still isn't interested in crawling, but he can get where he wants to go!! He uses his heals and spins himself in circles. He is going to wear holes in his socks because the boy can move!!!

Glasses Galore!

While Alex and Thomas were snoozing the girls and I had some fun with the camera!! Gabbi bought some glasses with her Christmas money from Claire's, so of course we had to take a picture of us showing off our glasses! It was decided that we should have traded glasses because we looked pretty good in each other's, but we didn't take a picture of that. I hope she never has to wear them like her Uncle Adam and Aunt Molly, or Alex for that matter!

It's a Wrap!

After an eventful swim we wrapped up and headed back to the room. We got all cleaned up and then chilled with Daddy on the bed. Alex was so tired, but there was so much going on that he wouldn't nap. We headed out to grab some dinner and then put the boys to bed and headed to mass. Amy's brother, Bobby watched the kids while we were out. It was nice to have a few kid free hours!

A Meehan family tradition includes throwing small children high in the sky. It's something I've just grown up with so it doesn't make me super nervous. The kids absolutely loved it too!! There was lots of squealing and laughing!! Even Amy's niece, Sydney enjoyed it!

Everyone else had a good time swimming too! Alex and Thomas are going to be quite the pair when Alex becomes mobile. Family vacation this summer is going to be so much fun with those two!!

Let's Go for a Swim!

Yesterday we headed to Quincy because Papa is on a church retreat and we wanted to go to mass and the candlelight service. So, we loaded up the family and hung out for the weekend. This was Alex's first opportunity to go swimming. He was a little skeptical at first, but then ended up enjoying it quite a bit. He went swimming with Daddy while Mommy documented it all.

A Little Visit

Tonight Daddy's cousin, Lexi, came to borrow some of Alex's baby clothes. She's expecting a little baby boy at the end of May. We're so excited to welcome another family member, and that all of Alex's clothes will get some good use! It really is amazing how fast they grow through clothes.

I told Lexi I'd fix her whatever her heart desired, and it ended up that Adam did the cooking but a very fine job he did. Lexi wanted Fettuccine Alfredo, and Alex was very happy with her selection. From time to time I've been giving Alex's some bites of food, but lately he's shown quite a bit of interest in what we've been eating. He's been eating quite a bit off our plates, and the last two days he's even ate what they've served at daycare for lunch. Yesterday it was chicken, mashed potatoes and applesauce and today it was fish sticks, green beans, and peaches. They said his eating skills were better than some of the older kids. As you can tell he loves every chance he can to eat!

Alex was quite a mess when he was done, so we threw him in the sink and got him all cleaned up. Alex even let Lexi hold him so that we could get their picture taken together. We had a good night!!

A Busy Day

Today when Daddy came home from work he took Alex outside to enjoy the beautiful day, while he raked leaves in the backyard. When Mommy came home from work we enjoyed a little swing time. Alex laughed and laughed. He loved swinging so much! Then we came inside to get ready for supper. Mommy made some mixed vegetables and homemade applesauce with bananas. Alex even enjoyed a few bites of banana too. I'm telling you he is a little piggy and will eat anything you give him.

Grandma and Grandpa came over for a visit to show us pictures of their trip to the Grand Canyon. They brought Alex back a book and a shirt, but it's going to be a long time before his shirt fits him!! They brought us pizza for dinner and of course Alex ate an entire corner piece himself!! Like I said, he'll eat anything!! Alex had a great time playing tonight. He's slowly starting to enjoy other people's company. He even was taking a few steps tonight with assistance of his little walker and Mommy's help. If he keeps this up we'll have a walker before long!! Where did my baby go?!
