Quick Trip

 

Today Papa called us up after church to see if we wanted to come over and grill out.  I'm not going to pass up a steak, so we got in the car and took off.  The weather was absolutely perfect today.  Alex and Thomas enjoyed digging in the dirt and finding worms.  Amelia loved on the new kitty, Whinny.  She's a whiny little cat, but Amelia sure loved her!  We enjoyed strawberry shortcake and ice cream for dessert and then headed home.  We had two little ones crashed out in no time.  It's been a busy week filled with family, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Impromptu Visit

 

 

 

 

 

Aunt Sara was on Spring Break this week and was tired of being cooped up.  We decided a visit to our house so the kids could play together was a perfect idea.  As a matter of fact, earlier in the week Evalee had packed a bag (with a shirt, underwear, apple, and goldfish) and told Sara she would meet her in the car she was going to Alex's house. 

The kids had a great time playing together, and got along fairly well.  You know its so hard to share toys!  Saturday night Grandma and Papa came over and the adults went out for dinner.  It was pretty exciting to have a kids free dinner, plus free babysitting.  Win-win!

Next week is Eva's birthday party so we'll see the family again soon.

If the Shoe Fits

Amelia came clopping out of the bedroom in my heels tonight.  She thought she was big stuff.  Alex couldn't be outdone and had to give them a whirl too!!  Who's the bigger ham?!

First Visit with Dr. Putman

The sonogram today showed a wiggly little thing, with a heart beat of170 bpm and measuring 2.27 cm (8wks 5days), though I'm 9 weeks pregnant today.  My ovaries are still enlarged:  left one is measuring 6.4 cm and the right one is 9.24 cm.  Everything with baby looks great.   Dr. Putman still wants me to stay on restricted activity, but expects the swelling to be significantly better at our next visit.  We'll get another sonogram to check progress, which is fine with me since I'll get to see the baby again.

The Inagural Ride

When the kids and I got home from school, Daddy had a surprise waiting for the kids!  It's officially riding season!  Let the fun begin!!!  Amelia decided to give driving a go this year, but she's going to need a lot of practice.  Luckily, she's content being the passenger!
