Get Well Wishes

Nana's had the flu all week, so we texted her a few pictures hoping they would make her feel better.  I just love Amelia in her pig tails and her little sweater.  She looks so grown up!!

A Taste of Warm Weather

This weekend Alex started complaining about his ear hurting.  We decided it best to take him in, plus Amelia needed to go back in for a recheck to make sure her ear infection had cleared up.  Work has been super crazy for me trying to get the new General Assembly in order, so Daddy took the day off to go to the Dr.  Amelia got an all clear and Alex had an ear infection.  They actually said his eardrum was on the verge of rupturing, so now he's on 10 days of meds.

I did sneak out after their appointment to eat lunch with them.  The weather was beautiful, so before nap time Daddy let them get out their bikes and go for a little spin.  Hopefully the fresh air will help get rid of some of the yucky germs hanging around.

A Visit from Grandma and Papa

This evening Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Tony came over for a little visit.  It's been a while since we've seen them, so they stopped by.  They brought dinner and Alex and I made a chocolate cake.  It was a nice evening!!

Daddy and Alex went to the high schools boys wrestling match tonight.  Amelia and I had a nice little chill night just laughing, snuggling, and eating Oreos.

He's Having a Baby!

Tonight Daddy is teaching class at Benedictine.  While I was upstairs putting Amelia to bed, Alex was supposed to be sitting on the couch watching TV.  Well, I came downstairs to him telling me excitedly, "that he was having a baby!"  I asked him when it was coming and he said "5 or 6 days."  This Momma is not ready to be a grandma yet!!!  Twenty minutes later we had a nice little white stuffed bear rejoin our family!!!

OK, actually it's just a haircut but Alex would not agree with us.  It's really lovely when he starts screaming, gets hair in his mouth, and then starts gagging and spitting.  Oh, the joys of parenthood!!

Steak n Shake

Today is Martin Luther King Jr day, which means a three day weekend.  Alex decided we should go out for lunch today.  We needed to run to Lowe's so we decided why not.  He really wanted McDonald's but we told him no.  Steak n Shake was his next choice, and a much better one we think!!  PS  It's really cold outside today!! BURRRRR!!!

Briggsy and my cell phone.  She's a happy girl tonight!!  As a matter of fact she was so happy, she made several phone calls to people to have chats with them.  I had no idea until Trista sent me a message telling me that one of the kids had called her.  Oops!  Sorry if you got a call.

You'd Never Know

from these pictures that this little lady has an ear infection.   She's kind of acted off the last few days, but has been in a fairly good mood.  This morning she woke up with green snot, so I decided it was best to take her to the Doctor.  Sure enough, she has an ear infection!!!  She has so much wax blocking her tube that it wasn't able to drain.  I tried to take her back to daycare, but she was not having it. So we've stayed home and snuggled while watching Barney and Elmo.  After a three hour nap and a dose of antibiotics and she's feeling tons better.

It was nice to spend some time with just her today.  However, the poor little thing didn't hardly know what to do without her brother.  She asked so many times while in the car, at the doctor, and at home "Where Alex go?"  She was more than excited to see her brother after Daddy  picked him up at daycare!!!

Happy Birthday Chase!!

Today we headed into Springfield to help Chase celebrate his 1st Birthday!!  There were so many kids and lots of food and fun.  Guess I'm not a very good friend though, I didn't even manage to get his picture.  I did manage a few pictures of the kids enjoying their goody bags.  As you can tell, Alex was a tired zomby on the way home!
