Wig Fun

 

Daddy took Alex to soccer practice tonight.  I am trying to get all the laundry put away.  But it's always ok to stop and have a little fun with an old wig.  And fun we had!

14 Week Check Up

 

Today I went for a visit at Dr. Putman's office.  I had another sonogram done and little one was extremely active.  It's always such a relief to hear the heartbeat (160bpm) and see movement.  I even got a little hand wave today!  I'm pretty sure I've been feeling a few little flutters of movement periodically, though it's still fairly early.  Dr. Putman says he's not going to tell me that I haven't been feeling anything, as this is my 3rd baby and I know what it feels like.  We'll see if the feelings and movement gets stronger in the next few weeks.  They didn't get a good length measurement because the baby's legs were all curled up.  We go back on June 9th for the big sonogram!

 

My ovaries are measuring about 5 cm now, so about half as big as they were last time.  Dr. Putman is extremely happy with this improvement and says I'm clear to exercise and move about as long as I'm feeling good.  I've gained about 4lbs, and Dr. Putman was ok with that.  I've been getting my appetite back for sure.  There is no hiding my belly at this point, it's definitely there.  Guess I need to work on taking some belly pics.

Working and Relaxing

Some of us worked this weekend to try to get the family room put back together, and other laid around and relaxed.  It wasn't Mommy and Daddy relaxing in case you were wondering!  I literally scrubbed the grout lines of the floor with a tooth brush.  Alex helped a few times, but luckily they stayed out of our way enough that we almost have a functioning room again.  Thanks to Daddy for spending his spring break making our new family room look so good.  Can't wait to have fires in the fire place, but we'll wait.  We've had enough cold weather to last us a good long while.

Black Olives

Papa brought us a big can of black olives from the store.  We are loving every single one of them.  It's a big can so it'll take us a while, but we love them!!!  When I was little my Grandpa Bosko used to bring me a can every time he came to visit me.  I would put the olives on all my fingers and then eat every single one of them off.  It's so fun to see Amelia doing the same thing.  She's my twin for sure.

Alex wanted to wear this vintage Meehan's jacket that I had when I was little to school today.  After a quick photo op he decided to change his mind.  Amelia of course needed her picture too!!!

Tonight Alex had his second game.  He's doing really well and seems to be enjoying himself.  He's always super tired by the end of the game, so it's mission accomplished in my book!

Easter Round #2

After visiting Ma, we went to Great Grandma Furness's house for lunch and had a nice visit.  Later in the afternoon we had an Easter egg hunt and the kids loved it!  As if they already didn't have enough candy this hunt took them over the top!  They're also excited for all the money they get to put in their piggy banks.  It was a beautiful day, and so relaxing.  I like only going to one side of the family at a time.  It makes things so much more enjoyable!

Easter Visit with Ma

Our first stop in Hillsboro was to the nursing home to see Ma, Daddy's Grandma Kershaw.  She has no clue who we are anymore, she really can't hear, and she doesn't talk, but her smile still lights up a room.  She was pretty excited to see the little ones and enjoyed the Oreos we brought her.  We didn't stay long, as we got there right before it was time for her to eat lunch.  I'm just glad that our kids have the opportunity to still have three great grandmother's in their lives.  That's pretty special.  The kids did really well, and were good sports about talking to all the residence.  Of course they looked super cute today, and got oohs and aahs from everyone.  Visiting the birds was their favorite part!
