Trick or Treat

Tonight after a ridiculous amount of candy at daycare we  got ready for another round.  We first stopped at Ed Clark Photography for our traditional Halloween photo.  Then we met up with the Kunz family and went Trick or Treating with them.  We didn't let the rain stop us, but luckily after about 30 minutes the kids were satisfied with their haul.  We ended our evening at Jen's house for chili, pizza, and of course more candy!! 

Halloween at Story Time

Dressing up for story time is one of Alex's first memories.  He always asks if it's the story time where he can dress up.  So needless to say he was happy to put on his costume again tonight.  We enjoyed reading Halloween stories and make fun crafts tonight.  Amelia chose not to participate in the group photo.

The First Christmas Catalog

We received our first official Christmas toy catalog in the mail today from Toys R Us.  Alex was so excited and wanted to know what to do with it.  I explained to him that he could go through it and decide what he would like.  He asked how Santa would know what he wanted.  I told him he had to get a marker and circle what he would like, but just because he circled it didn't mean he was going to get it.  Amelia joined in on the fun too, of writing all over the page of course!  

A Play Date

This afternoon we had a play date with our friend Elyse.  Unfortunately, Liz's father passed away last Thursday and today is the visitation.  We were so glad we were able to help the family out by keeping Elyse.  The kids had a blast together, and even did well when we took them to the visitation at the end of the night.

Paul Jenkins was a pretty amazing guy.  He started the WHS football program in 1971.  Only him and his son-in-law Aaron have been the head coaches.  We are so proud to be such of an amazing community and a great football program.  His legacy will live on!

I love carving pumpkins!!!  The kids picked out what they wanted to carve and I got to work.  Amelia was not interested in the least in helping in anyway.  Alex was a great helper!  We were pretty happy with our end results and the pumpkins seeds were yummy too!!

Tonight we headed to the park for Boo on the Boulevard Costume Contest.  Alex was soooo excited to dress up.  He came up with this idea all on his own.  He did a fabulous job and was so happy to win a prize!  Amelia was pretty much along for the ride!  The kids enjoyed playing at the park, even though it was cold.

We had to rush off so that we could get to the playoff pairing party to see who we play in Round #1.  We are #1 in our bracket and will be playing Pana next week at home.  This is going to be our year!!!

WHS vs Auburn

Tonight we did it again!  Three years in a row we've had a perfect regular season!!  And we finished the regular season by beating Auburn 21-14.  It was the closest game we've had and we were actually losing at half time. Auburn was very considerate of our team and the loss of Paul.  They started the game out with a moment of silence.  It was a neat moment.

It was so  COLD outside tonight.  Amelia was a treat!  She cried and whined for most of the game.  I told her she was going to have to learn to deal with the cold because we are a football family!!!  She was quiet when the kids used a hot pack to play hot potato though!!

So excited to see how far we make it this year in the playoffs.  Fingers crossed!!
