Festival of Trees

Alex and Amelia spent the night with Grandma & Papa last night.  They helped Grandma put up Christmas decorations today.  We met them this evening at Fulgenzi's for dinner and then headed over to the fairgrounds to the Festival of Trees.  I love going to this every year.  I may get more excited than the kids.  Of course, the kids were excited super excited to get to visit with Santa and ride the train.  Ada was unphased by her first visit with Santa.  She spent a lot of time snuggling with Papa.  

There were tons of beautiful trees and Alex and Amelia found many that they liked.  Super Heroes, Barbie, Frozen, and the Grinch to name a few.  They also really enjoy watching the little train go around village full of gingerbread houses too.  It's officially the start of the holiday season.

Congrats to the Bullets

Today the community gathered to congratulate the Bullets on a record breaking season!  It's been an awesome journey.  It will be football season again before we know it.  Weight lifting and speed training start in just a few short weeks.

State Championship Game

What an amazing day!  We made school history today!  This is the first appearance WHS has had in the IHSA Class 3A State Championship Game ever!  It was cold, but not unbearable.  The excitement of the day kept us fairly warm.  The game was intense and a back and forth ball game right down to the last 3 seconds.  Wilmington kicked a last second field goal to win 20-17.  It was heartbreaking, but these boys have nothing to hang their head about.  It was an unforgettable season and one we are so proud that we got to be a part of it!
