Trick or Treat

Tonight we Trick or Treated in Sherman with the Kunz's.  We first stopped and had our picture taken at Ed Clarke's.  It's a tradition I've done every year but last year.  The prices jumped like crazy this year, so this will be our last.  Anyway. . .  the kids had a blast getting a crazy amount of candy and running door to door.  It started sprinkling, the witch's feet were tired and her bucket was getting heavy and Ada had plowed through two suckers and was tired of being in the stroller so we called it quits.  We went over to Jen Jenkins' house for our annual Halloween get together.  They had tons of games and prizes for the kids.  There was so much food and a few beverages too.  Pretty much a wicked Halloween night!!

What's Cooking?

Today is Round One of playoff football.  We've had a tough season and barely squeaked into the playoffs. We knew this year was going to be rough, but you'll have years like that.  Daddy is off today to Paxton-Buckley-Loda.  It's cold, windy, and possibly rainy so we are staying home.  Can't risk our little lady getting sick again.  I thought today would be a good day to bust out the play kitchen from the basement.  It was a huge hit.  The girls cooked for hours, while Alex played X-Box and I caught up on the DVR while folding mounds of laundry.  The game was a nailbiter and it went back and forth, but PBL was able to score with just seconds remaining to beat the Bullets 28-23.  I hate that we lost, but at the same time I'm so glad to have Adam back.  Football sure is a time commitment, but we know how much he loves it.  Hopefully he'll make it back in time to go Trick or Treating with us!!

Play Date

 

Tonight I went to pick Alex up from Kids Place and he ended up not leaving with me.  He went over to Hamm's house to play with Ryan and Jack Ford.  Clearly they had a good time!!

Witching Dance

 

 

 

 

Tonight Amelia was able to dress up in costume for her dance class tonight.  We decided to go with the bad witch since she still needed to be able to dance.  She'll go back to being the good witch after dance!

Yep Again!!

Seems like we can go a week or so and then she starts get wheezy and congested.  The girl is such a trooper.  I'm thankful that this is the health issue we have and not a life threatening illness.  Makes me thank God that this is something treatable. 

Boo on the Boulevard

It was chilly and very very windy at Boo on the Boulevard.  It was quite unorganized and I was a little disappointed in the whole operation.  We entered the group contest, which only had 3 groups in it.  We didn't win, which wasn't the end of the world, even though our costumes were awesome.  But truthfully, the two girl zombies that won weren't even that great.  The other family was dressed up like Willy Wonka, the golden ticket, an oompa lompa, and Violet all blown up like a blueberry.  I loved it! 

Anyway, we participated in the contest then hurried home to change clothes.  We had to go to Sherman to the football party to see who we play next week in the playoffs.   After that we took a drive around town and looked at all the houses that had been decorated for Halloween.  The Garden Club asked people to decorate and had a haunted trolley ride for people to take.  We didn't get back in town until the last trolley had already left, but we followed it around and were spooked by several live actors dressed up as mummies, chain sawers, ghosts, and the like.  It was pretty cool, and the kids loved that I was so freaked out!
