12 Weeks Pregnant

Today I went for my last visit with Dr. Galle. I couldn't believe how big our little one is growing. It's truly amazing to see how fast things change from week to week. It's one of the bonuses of going to the fertility doctor. Everything looked really good. The baby is now measuring 5.62 cm and had a heartbeat of 166 bpm. My blood pressure was great and stepping on the scale wasn't bad either. I've gained a pound or two, but honestly can't remember. Anyway, we're finally moving in the right direction. I'm starting to get a little belly, and think I'll be busting out maternity clothes a little sooner than I did with Alex.

I'm finally feeling like myself again. I'm able to stay up past 8:00 now and I'm starting to get back to my house duties, like cooking and cleaning and such!! I think the boys are glad to have me back and I'm definitely glad to be back!!!

We head to our first visit with Dr. Putman on December 7th!!

Dancing the Night Away

We had a great time dancing at Kate & Joe's wedding reception. Thomas David by far won the dance competition. He was all over the place!! Alex was a little unsure of the loud music, but every once in a while he would show us a move or two. Gabbi even got Papa out on the dance floor for a few seconds!! Uncle Jordan really got a workout dancing with the little boys!! We all had a great time!!!

Yesterday Alex and Mommy headed back to Roodhouse so that we could go to Mommy's cousin, Kate's wedding. It was a beautiful day, considering it was the end of November in Illinois. Daddy was on his way to Chicago for the Bears game today with his buddies from college.

Festival of Trees

Today didn't go quite like I had planned. I planned on getting some laundry done, cleaning the house, and putting my fall decorations away. Instead Alex decided to sleep in, which meant Mommy & Daddy did too. Then Daddy made us french toast for breakfast and we watched some Fraggle Rock. We decided to get showers and get moving, except once Mommy took her shower she laid down for a minute and woke up 3 hours later. This little brother or sister is making Mommy soooo tired!!

When Mommy finally decided to get up, we headed to the Festival of Trees at the fairgrounds. I've wanted to do this for several years, and have just never made it out. I figured this would be good chance for Alex to meet Santa Claus. We couldn't believe Alex sat on Santa's lap with little hesitation and more importantly no tears!!! We watched the choo choo train go round and round and Alex liked looking at all the pretty trees. He of course tried to touch them from time to time and was really excited about the tree that had dogs on it!!

Can't believe the holiday season is upon us!! Let's not forget the real reason for the season!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We had a very busy Thanksgiving!! We woke up and headed to Virden to have an early lunch with Grandma & Grandpa and Uncle Travis, Aunt Sara, & Evalee. Then we headed to Bunker Hill to Great Grandma Meehan's house for a late lunch. There were lots of people there and Alex really enjoyed hanging out with Thomas & Zoey. They loved eating ice out of the cooler. After that we headed to Hillsboro to Great Grandma Furness's house. Mommy forgot to take any pictures with Paxton at the last stop because she was in a food coma from all the food we had ate and Alex wasn't quite as social after a full day of events!!!

We're truly blessed to have the opportunity to share this day with all our family!! Our cup runneth over!!!

Happy Birthday Nana!!

We celebrated Nana's birthday a day early since it falls on Thanksgiving this year. Plus everyone was home to help celebrate. We had an amazing dinner of fried pork chops, mac n cheese, broccoli, asparagus, and salad!! We also had dessert of double layer yellow cake with chocolate icing. We had a great time celebrating Nana's birthday and just spending time together as a family!!

I've finally managed to get all caught up on my scanning of pictures and blogging. It's been quite a process. Thanks to everyone for being patient (and some of you not so much!!!!) For those of you who haven't heard we are having a baby!!!! Tongue Out

Just like Daddy, when Alex concentrates really hard he sticks his tongue out. It cracks me up. I always give Adam a hard time about it, but it looks like its genetic!!!
