Well, since it's Mother's Day, it's time for another Daddy post. This Mother's Day, Mom wanted to stay home and just enjoy a weekend to ourselves. We went to church on Saturday night and then ran a few errands and had dinner at Chili's. Alex and Mom got their picture taken then since Mom didn't think she would get dressed on Sunday!

We started Sunday off with breakfast in bed. I made french toast breaded in crushed honey-nut cheerios. It was pretty good. Momma liked it because I let the bread soak, and it left the french toast get really moist.

After that, we just did a little work around the house. Alex helped vacuum while wearing his "My Mom is Awesome t-shirt", pretty appropriate considering the day!! After lunch, Momma had a nap with Alex. Although we're very excited for the new baby, it's also important to soak up our alone time with Alex, too. Then tonight we headed to Lowe's and Mom got some flowers to plant in her pots outside. Then, we stopped and got Antonio's pizza because Mom has been craving the garlic butter and bread sticks.

Before we went to bed, I ordered Molly's Mother's Day present. Since January, I've been turning the blog into a book using blurb.com. Basically, I've digitally scrapbooked the blog from its start, when we began our infertility journey, up until last October, when we found out that Molly was pregnant again. It was going to be a surprise, but I accidentally left the program open on the computer a few weeks ago, and Molly figured out the surprise. It's ok, though, because she got the opportunity to look it over and add in several things that she always wanted to put on the blog but never did. So, anyway, we should have Volume One of Kershaw's Korner by the end of next week. We're both super excited to see how it came out!

Alex and I want to take some time to thank Momma for all of the amazing things that she does for us. She's a great cook, she works very hard to make the house look very nice (decorating for holidays is one of her favorite things), she always knows how to make Buggs feel better when he's feeling sad, and she's always there for us when we need her. I can't believe we're only a few weeks away from baby number two. Our world is going to change all over again, but I think we're ready!

Watching Alex being born was the single most amazing thing I've ever seen in my entire life, and I can't believe that I'm going to witness it all over again. We love you Momma! Happy Mother's day!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny made it to Nana & Papa's house!!! He brought lots of candy, a Toy Story book, sunglasses, a football, and a tool box. Unfortunately, I failed at getting any pictures of us all dressed up. I'm telling you, baby brain is in full effect!! I forget things all the time these days!! '

After church we headed to Bunker Hill to have lunch at Mommy's Aunt Glenda and Uncle Pat's house. Alex and Thomas had fun playing with the animals and riding cars. They even let Zoey get in on some of the action, but again I failed to take any pictures. Other than a little rain, which did not stop the boys from playing outside, it was a beautiful day!

On our way home, we made a quick stop in Hillsboro to see Great Grandma Furness and Grandma & Grandpa Kershaw. By time we got home I don't know who was more tired, Alex or me! Another happy day! We are so blessed!

Coloring Easter Eggs

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Nana & Papa's house to play outside. Thomas & Alex had fun playing outside with Maggie, the dog, and getting pushed on the swing by Uncle Thomas. We even took a walk down to the pond. Daddy went looking for morels in the woods, but only came home 3 little guys.

After dinner, we colored easter eggs. It was kind of a late night, as Uncle Jordan didn't get home until around 7, so dinner was late and egg dying was even later. We all still had fun, as Nana boils a ridiculous amount of eggs for us to color. Alex tried several times to eat the easter egg dye, but luckily he didn't end up permanently colored blue!! We then had to go to bed to make sure that the Easter bunny came for a visit!

Alex had a fun day at daycare celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Of course, he looked super cute sporting his green and his Mr. Lucky shirt! It was a nice day today, so the kids made bags to go outside and go on a leprachan/treasure hunt! Alex came home with lots of gold and green coins. He was so excited to show them to us when he got home!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Alex wasn't cooperating with the photo ops this evening for his Valentine's shirt, but let's remember life isn't always full of smiles and laughter!! He is our Handsome Dude regardless!! We got Alex a little Buzz Lightyear for a gift. He wasn't interested in it in the beginning because he spotted his pajamas laying on the bed and he's like his Momma and loves to be comfy!!! Eventually he came around and had a great time playing with his balloon and Buzz!! Of course we ended the night like we always do. . . watching one of the Toy Story movies with his entourage of 'babies'!!!

Daddy said the balloon came with the Stargazer Lilies he got me. He wasn't supposed to get me anything because we are headed out to Cancun in a few days for some much needed Mommy and Daddy time!!

Our last Christmas celebration was at Great Grandma Furness's house. We of course stuffed our bellies full of food one last time, and then started the process of opening presents. The kids opened theirs and then we had our white elephant gift exchange for the adults. We tried getting a picture of the 3 littles with their pillows Heather and Aunt Jody made for them, but it was a lost cause. It was a long day, but we had a good time. Alex was exhausted by the end of the night and asking to go bye-bye. As soon as we were done opening presents and taking family pictures we headed home. Another great Christmas is officially in the books!!!
