Kindergarten Registration

 

 

Today after day care we took Alex to Sherman Elementary school to get him signed up for Kindergarten.  He's excited and I can't believe it. We need a pause button please!!  We celebrated with dinner at Fire and Ale and finished off the night with Story Time at the library.

Buzz Lightyear

 

This is a toy Alex got for his first birthday from his Great Uncle Marvin and Great Aunt Sandy.  It's been an old stand by, but someone is getting  little bit too big.  He's really ready to get outside and ride his bike, but driving this thing from the kitchen to the living room at fast rates is all he can do right now.  It's about to drive Mom and Dad batty!!!

Getting My Hair Fixed

 

I've been on bed rest for over a week now so fixing my hair is not top priority.  Daddy is at the Sports Booster's dinner/fundraiser tonight.  The kids and I are hanging out at home, so they've decided to make me look pretty and fix my hair.  This job kept them entertained for way longer than it should!  Luckily, I just had to sit there and look beautiful!

Swollen!!

 

The swelling just keeps getting bigger.  I'm miserable and can barely move.  I'm not even 5 weeks pregnant yet!  YIKES!  I've also been feeling pretty nauseous of an evening and haven't been eating much, but I'm making it through.  We're just taking one day at a time.

Fresh Air

 

They weren't outside long because it was still pretty cold, but the family (I took pictures with the zoom lens from the front door) enjoyed a tiny bit of fresh air today.  There bike ride/walk consisted of going to the end of the block and back.  There is still too much ice, snow, and sticks on the sidewalk. 

Dr's Orders

 

 

As of today, I'm officially on bed rest.  My ovaries are extremely swollen (about 9 cm each, normal is 3cm) and I'm very uncomfortable.  Looks like the couch and I are going to get to know each other pretty well.

Alex is getting pretty good at writing/tracing his letters.

The kids have no clue yet, but they were excited to take a picture!

It's official. . .  there's another Kershaw coming to our family!!!

We sent Uncle Jacob a text to let him know that we missed him on our trip!

Ending the day with a penny smasher!!

 

 

Our final adventure was the Indianapolis Children's Museum.  Since today is President's Day the price of admission was greatly reduced!  We anticipated large crowds, but were pleasantly surprised.  There was so many things to see, and the kids were anxious to go from one exhibit to the other.   We stayed for several hours before saying good bye to Uncle Jordan and Aunt Barb.  We grabbed some lunch, and started the slow drive home.  The ice and snow were not our friends today.

This was just the kind of weekend we needed.  Fun, family, and relaxation!! Perfection!
