Just checking out how pretty Mommy made her hair today.  And YES, she is the prettiest of them all!

iPad

I just loved to look up from reading my book tonight after Amelia had gone to bed, to see Alex all relaxed on his bean bag playing a game on the iPad.

The kids really have learned a lot from the games they play on here.  It's crazy how well they can navigate the dang thing!  Alex likes when Amelia goes to bed and he can have it all to himself!

Summer is Flying By

Can't believe July is almost over.  I know I've said it several times but the weather has been great!!!  We've taken advantage and spent a lot of time outside, and not sweating our tails off!  Amelia could live on the swing and Alex is finally starting to get the hang of pumping his legs to make him go faster and higher.

It Was Incredible

Today was a relaxing day after I spent yesterday cleaning closets and scrubbing toilets and floors.  Alex and Daddy spent yesterday afternoon in Maroa at the annual 7 on 7 football passing tournament.

Today the kids played outside and we did some yard work.  While we were cleaning off the porch, the kids were driving the Jeep.  I heard the kids laughing, so I turned to see what they were up to.  The Jeep was upside down and they were standing outside of it.  I asked what happened, and Alex said he didn't know.  After repeatedly asking him what happened and me finally telling him he wasn't in trouble he told me what happened.  I could see him replaying the incident in his head.  He says to me, "We tried to drive up the tree. It was incredible!!"  Thank God they weren't hurt.  Needless to say, we had a talk about how lucky they were that they didn't get hurt and they shouldn't try to drive up the tree again.

Later in the afternoon after nap time Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Tony came over for a visit.  Alex showed them his new casting skills and even managed to hit Grandma in the head with the washer that was on the end of the pole.  Luckily she has a hard head and was able to shake it off.  Poor Alex felt terrible and cried and cried.  We headed to Dairy Queen for dinner and ice cream, which always makes everyone happy.  The new Smores blizzard was delicious!!

Carousel and Train Rides

We took cover during the rain by riding the carousel multiple times and the train.  We took full advantage of our unlimited rides!  We always end our visit with a ride on the train to say good-bye to all the animals.

We had two exhausted kids, and we  knew going out to eat wasn't an option.  Adam and I knew we were soooo close to The Hill, and our favorite restaurant Cunetto's.  So we drove by to see if we could get a carry out order in a timely manner.  We ordered and only had to wait about 15 minutes.  It was enough time to run to McD's and get happy meals for the kids.  They ate and passed out while we ate our appetizer and saved our dinner for home.  A perfect ending to the day!
