Happy Birthday Uncle Thomas

Tonight we surprised Uncle Thomas when we showed up to dinner at Saputo's, with the help of Jessica!.  We were there waiting for him with Nana & Papa.  It was a nice evening together.  Happy Birthday Uncle Thomas!!!

Sunrise

Alex stole my phone to run go get a picture of the sunrise while I was working out this morning, so we could send it to Papa.  I love that our kids notice these simple little reminders of God's glorious world!  I love that our no matter where our family is we are all under the same sky and our sunrise and sunset text messages are a great way to keep us connected.

Sick and Tired AGAIN!!!

 

Got a phone call that Ada woke up from her nap and puked every where.  She's feeling absolutely terrible.  She is so congested and cannot breathe through her nose at all.  She sounds like a freight train with her snoring.  Poor girl just can't catch a break.  Wondering if the surgery was even worth it.  Lots of snuggles for this little sick girl.  Thankful for all the sick time I have at work.  My bosses are amazing!!!

Beautiful Girls

 

The girls picked out matching dresses to wear today and Mommy had on a dress too!  There's really no better reason to take a picture than that.   Beautiful girls!!!

Bloom Where You're Planted

Today Uncle Thomas sent us a picture of the pretty daffodils that we planted last fall.  They are blooming so beautifully, as we know Aunt Amy is blooming in heaven. 


 

Monkey See, Monkey Do

 

Ada loves doing whatever her big brother and sister are doing.  Today she needed a hat on, just like Alex.  Little lady can pull it off though.  Look at all that cuteness!

Today we're laying low.  The kids have done a lot of play-dough playing and the only thing Ada will eat is candy.  It's a Sunday Funday!!! 

An Easy Saturday Night

 

Tonight we headed to mass and then stopped at the Sherman Methodist Church for dinner.  They have a great fried chicken dinner, and what's better than eating fried chicken and not having to clean up the kitchen. . . plus we got dessert!  The kids burned off a little extra energy before we headed home for the night!

Surgery Post Op Day #1

 

 

 

 

Ada is doing very well today.  She's not been fussy and has been up playing with the other two.  She's taken a few breaks to come and snuggle and we've watched several episodes of Bubble Guppies.  Keeping her on a Tylenol regimen so she doesn't experience any pain.  Hoping we start seeing positive results from this surgery.

 

Busy Babes

No need to nurse Ada after her surgery, she's already back to mothering her baby.  Alex and Amelia are painting crafts that they got for Easter from Grandma & Papa.  This should be a quiet and relaxing weekend.

Ada's Surgery

 

 

 

Today we took Ada to have her first surgery.  When we went yesterday to her pre-op appointment Dr. Garcia discovered Ada had a double ear infection.  She hasn't been complaining and has been acting fine.  We decided to go ahead and add tubes to the adenoid removal surgery.

 

She was the second surgery of the morning and was rather clueless as to what was about to happen.  She was quite funny once they gave her some medicine.  She loved sharing her stickers with us and took them on and off over and over again.  You could tell she was drugged.  She had no problems hopping in the wagon and driving away with the nurse.  She was in and out in less than 30 minutes.  She was barely awake when we got back to recovery.  Daddy ran to the store real fast to get her some popsicles and then came back and picked us up (ended up we didn't need the popsicles.  She wouldn't eat them.  Every time I offered her one she said ''no thank you' in the sweetest little voice.)  She spent most of the morning laying around.  After a good nap in the afternoon she was pretty much back to good.  We are keeping her on Tylenol and started an antibiotic because Dr. Garcia said her ear infection was worse today than yesterday.  He sucked out all the gunk and now hopefully the tubes will do their job.

Meeting Harper

 

Today we got to meet Miss Harper.  It was a loud, crazy, and chaotic day but that's what it's like when you have 8 children under the age of 6!!  The kids loved holding Harper and eventually the adults got a little snuggle time in as well.  It's so fun holding the sweet little ones and crazy how fast the older ones have grown up.  One thing I can tell you is that in no way did holding Harper make me want to have another baby. . .  not even a tiny bit!!!  Welcome to our family baby girl!
