A Busy Evening at Home

Alex loves eating tomatoes on bread, picked fresh from the garden.

Amelia prefers plain bread and fruit snacks.

 

 

Alex and Amelia have loved picking tomatoes from the garden.  He has me cut them up and put them on bread, just like his teacher at school.  After we had snacks we headed out to drive the Barbie Jeep.  We keep forgetting to charge it, so the kids were super excited to take it for a spin.  Once Daddy came home from football Alex was ready to play some ball.  We've been watching the Cardinals a lot on TV lately, so choosing between football and baseball is a difficult choice!  Alex is getting pretty good at swinging the bat and manages a hit every once in a while. 

 

Amelia prefers to be a spectator, again just like her Mom!!!  She did get in on some action once we got inside.  She helped Daddy fill the beer cooler for after the football game on Friday!  She kept singing about soda and dancing, so we just left it that way!!  She's such a good helper!

 

Alex has been learning all about fire safety this week, so he was asking us if all our smoke detectors were working.  We walked around and checked them, and it's a good thing we did.  We needed to replace batteries.  So now's a good time to check yours at home and make sure they are working!!  It really amazes me how much Alex is learning at preschool.  We're pretty lucky to have such a smart little kid.
