Girl!!!! Amelia Marie Kershaw was born at 12:35 a.m. She was 6 pounds, 14 ounces and 20 inches long. She is a beautiful, tiny little girl, and she has lots of dark hair!!!
The delivery went very well. A little after midnight, the nurse said she was having trouble locating the heartbeat, which probably meant she'd dropped. Less than a half hour later, Momma was pushing. After the first contraction and pushes, a full inch of Amelia's head was out. A few minutes, one contraction, and two pushes later, and she was completely out! In all, Momma only pushed for five minutes. She did so great! They couldn't put the epidural in because the anesthesiologist was doing a c-section, which meant Momma went the natural route up until the last hour before our little girl was born.
We're very excited for Alex to meet his new little sister. Last night, Uncle Thomas came and got him, so that he could have a sleepover in Jacksonville with his cousins. Molly is doing great, and we're both overjoyed. We started this blog three short years ago, and now we have two beautiful little gifts from God!!! Absolutely Amazing!
