Today Alex and Amelia had their first soccer game. They had one scheduled for last week, but was cancelled due to rain. I was kind of happy since I was out of town and didn't want to miss the first game of the season. Both kids have done great at the practices they have had. When it came to game time today Amelia had a total melt down and completely freaked out. She cried and refused to set foot on the field. After much coaxing and reassuring, we convinced her to play goalie. She loved it and before you knew it she was ready to run all over the field. Watching kids learn to play soccer, is quite entertaining. They travel in a big clump wherever the ball goes. It should be a fun season!
After the game, we headed to Sherman and had lunch with Grandma and Papa at Cancun. They were headed to see Eva and Izzy and wanted to take Alex and Amelia, but we had a jam packed day full of fun planned already!
