We were supposed to go to Nana and Papa's house for birthday celebrations, but they've been passing germs backs and forth for a while now! Papa had the flu and then Nana got it. We didn't want to risk going to their house and getting infected with germs. Papa was feeling better so we decided celebrating at Uncle Thomas' house would be safer.
We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower, and salad. It was delicious!! I made a chocolate cake with a peanut butter frosting. It was amazing. I could eat it everyday! We did send Papa home with a nice meal for Nana.
Great Grandma Meehan came to help celebrate too. It's been a few months since we've seen her so that was nice. The kids enjoyed playing with each other. The highlight was going into the garage and playing hockey. Alex insisted on putting on Thomas' hockey skates (ie roller skates) and lasted all of about 10 seconds. Amelia thought she was big stuff.
