State Fair Time

Even though we have plans to go to Knights this afternoon, I got a text over the weekend that my friend Lindsey was going to be at the fair for Agriculture Day.  I haven't seen Lindsey since Alex's baptism!  In case you can't do the math, that is FOUR YEARS!!!!  So, we headed out this morning to catch up with Lindsey and her son Grady for a few hours.

We loved going to the petting zoo (Daddy got snotted on by a goat!!) , seeing the Budweiser Clydesdales (they get their faces cleaned with an actual vacuum), playing in the ag area, seeing the butter cow, and of course eating!!!  Alex and Amelia loved the sugary donuts and we got lemonade shake ups, cheese curds, and taffy. Wish we could have hung out longer, but it sure was nice to see a good friend!!
