Well Baby Visits

Can you really call them well BABY visits when they are 2 and 4?!?!  I guess it's just a yearly physical at this point.  Both kids did very well, although per usual they were not fans of getting their ears looked at.  Alex was first up on the table and he did a great job of answering the nurse's questions and letting Dr. Veronica check him out. Amelia did a good job too!  Dr. Veronica was very impressed with her verbal skills.

Alex's Stats:
Height: 42" (83rd percentile)
Weight: 43 lbs (91st percentile
BMI:  87th percentile

He is wearing a size 4T/5T and a size 11 shoe.  He still sucks his fingers, but we are going to start working on that.  It's amazing that 4 years have gone by so quickly.  He's a very smart and funny little boy, and man is he stubborn.  He can be a good listener if he wants to be, and he is 100% BOY!  His new obsession is having a band-aid for every little cut or scrape that may or may not exist.  He is a great big brother, but does his fair share of pestering Amelia.  He loves to play outside and going to the park, especially driving his gator and riding his bike.  He enjoys playing with his Star Wars and his superheros.  As the theme of the birthday party displays both him and Amelia are HUGE Scooby Doo fans.

Height: 32 3/4" (28th percentile)
Weight: 30lbs 4oz (87th percentile)
BMI: 99th percentile

She is talking sooo much.  I'm really blown away by her vocabulary and use of complete sentences.  She is her mother's daughter and loves to talk and is quite bossy.  Mommy is in for a long difficult journey with this girl.  She is wearing size 3 diapers, but only because Mommy bought too many and refuses to let them go to waste.  She is wearing 2T/3T clothes and a size 6/7 shoe.  She loves sucking her thumb and her blanket.  Swinging is her favorite thing to do.  She is quite motherly with her baby dolls, and takes on that role at daycare as well.  She loves to read.  Every night she sleeps with a few books, and I love listening to her read to herself on the monitor.  She's quite a girly girl and loves having her toes and fingers painted.

Both kids are fantastic eaters, as shown by their weight and BMI!!  They love to eat their fruits and vegetables, but fruit snacks are their favorite after dinner treat.  I could go on and on about how fantastic my kids are, but the bottom line is we are blessed beyond words and look forward to watching them grow and change.
