 having just as much fun, if not more than the little kids.

Today is the day the kids have been anticipating for some time now. . .  their Scooby Doo birthday party!!!  Alex was able to choose two friends from school to come to the party, and he chose Bailey and Jack.  There were sooo many kids at the party and boy did they have a blast.  I'm so glad it was nice outside, so the kids could just run around and be crazy!  

We did set everything up in the garage since there was a good chance of rain.  Luckily it rained for only about 15 or 20 minutes and it was right when we were cutting cake and opening gifts.  Both kids were beyond spoiled in the toy department.  We are going to be rationing out toys over time.  

We truly feel so blessed to have such a large circle of family and friends that would could share this special day with.  I was a little bit worried about the birthday cake, as the bottom layer was falling apart and giving me fits.  But, I am more than happy with how it turned out.  To see the kids face when they saw the final Scooby cake was worth all the time I spent on it, including stopping in the middle of making icing to run to store for more powdered sugar!!!

Needless to say, by the end of the night we have very tired children on our hands.  It was bed and bath time for them all!!  Alex did wake up in the morning and tell me "Yesterday was a great day Mom!"  Yes, it was all worth it!!
