Eye Dr and Lunch Date

As I've mentioned before, Alex failed his pre-k eye screening.  We went to the regular eye doctor and they referred us to a pediatric ophthalmologist named Dr. Krah at Springfield Clinic.  He was wonderful and so was his staff.  Alex had to have his eyes dilated, so we had to wait 30 minutes before they could look at his eyes.  He really enjoyed playing in the playhouse they had in the waiting room.  He was so good, it made me wish I had my book to read!

It was decided that yes, Alex has problems seeing out of his right eye and that yes he does have an astigmatism but we're just going to keep an eye on it for now.  We go back in February and check things out again.  Basically, he's going to end up with glasses just not yet!  He's bound to with the bad eye genes he's inherited from both of us.

As a reward for being so good and cooperating at the doctor Alex got to pick where we went for lunch.   He chose Steak n Shake.  YUM!!  And Daddy brought him home a mouth guard and chin strap for his football helmet.  It goes without saying that he was one happy little boy!
