18 Weeks Pregnant

In the last few weeks my belly has blossomed, so I figured we better start documenting the growing process. Of course, Alex had to have his picture taken too. He kept saying 'cheese' until we took his picture. I can't wait to see what kind of big brother he's going to be!!

The last several weeks I have periodically felt a flutter from the baby, but in the last several days I felt it a lot more consistently. Mommy knows you are in there little one!! I know Daddy is excited to feel you moving around too!!

Big Boy Bed

As if we didn't have a big enough day playing in the snow, but we had to make it even more exciting by turning Alex's crib into a toddler bed. He's a big boy now!!!! He slept all night and didn't get out of bed until Daddy went and got him this morning. Where has our baby gone????

Gabbi decided on Sunday that she wanted to come for a visit, so she called and said they were coming!! They brought their snow clothes and sleds so we headed out for a little bit of fun. This was Alex's first time actually going out to play in the snow and he really seemed to enjoy it. There wasn't that much snow on the ground, but just enough to have fun in. We were outside for about 45 minutes, which is pretty impressive I think for two little boys who aren't used to the cold.

We came inside and had a yummy lunch, the boys watched a DVD Nana got them for Christmas and then napped. Daddy and Uncle Thomas watched playoff football and Gabbi and Aunt Molly baked cookies. We had a very fun day!!! Thanks for inviting yourself over Gabs!!! It was a great time!!

Alex has discovered putting his face in the water. He did it several times tonight in the tub and just laughed and laughed. He's such a cutie, what can I say?!?!?

17 Weeks Pregnant

Today I went to the Dr for my monthly check-up. Nothing too exciting to report, which is really good news!! I've gained 3 1/2 lbs and am starting to get a belly. I've even busted out a few maternity tops! The maternity pants are too big, but my regular pants are getting pretty snug!!! It's a tough spot to be in!

The baby's heartbeat sounded really strong, and is truly music to my ears. We go back in 3 weeks for a sonogram, and the intention is to not find out what we are having just like we didn't with Alex!!! Everything is going well, which makes us very happy. We even got the go ahead to take a little babymoon to Mexico!!!! Mommy and Daddy are scheduled to be laying on the beach for 4 days later in February and we can't wait!! Alex gets to vacation at Grandma & Grandpa's and Nana & Papa's!!

Mommy & Daddy went to a wedding on New Year's Eve!!! Alex went to Grandma & Grandpa Kershaw's house. He fell asleep watching Horton Hears a Who, but woke up when we called to check on him. Grandma said he stayed up for quite some time and fell asleep at 12:01!! He was just trying to ring in the New Year like the rest of us!! Here's hoping that we all have a blessed 2011!!!
