Happy Thanksgiving!!

We had a very busy Thanksgiving!! We woke up and headed to Virden to have an early lunch with Grandma & Grandpa and Uncle Travis, Aunt Sara, & Evalee. Then we headed to Bunker Hill to Great Grandma Meehan's house for a late lunch. There were lots of people there and Alex really enjoyed hanging out with Thomas & Zoey. They loved eating ice out of the cooler. After that we headed to Hillsboro to Great Grandma Furness's house. Mommy forgot to take any pictures with Paxton at the last stop because she was in a food coma from all the food we had ate and Alex wasn't quite as social after a full day of events!!!

We're truly blessed to have the opportunity to share this day with all our family!! Our cup runneth over!!!

Happy Birthday Nana!!

We celebrated Nana's birthday a day early since it falls on Thanksgiving this year. Plus everyone was home to help celebrate. We had an amazing dinner of fried pork chops, mac n cheese, broccoli, asparagus, and salad!! We also had dessert of double layer yellow cake with chocolate icing. We had a great time celebrating Nana's birthday and just spending time together as a family!!

A Note to my Readers

I've finally managed to get all caught up on my scanning of pictures and blogging. It's been quite a process. Thanks to everyone for being patient (and some of you not so much!!!!) For those of you who haven't heard we are having a baby!!!! Tongue Out

Just like Daddy, when Alex concentrates really hard he sticks his tongue out. It cracks me up. I always give Adam a hard time about it, but it looks like its genetic!!!

10 1/2 Weeks Pregnant

Yesterday I went for my weekly visit to Dr. Galle's office. The baby looked great and is growing so much!! We're up to a whole 3.86 cm now!! The heartbeat was 178 bpm. My ovaries are slowly reducing in size and I was taken off another medicine!! Dr. Galle said I could call and schedule an appointment with Dr. Putman so we did that and will make our first official visit with him on December 7th.

We go back for one last visit to Dr. Galle's office at the end of the this month. This always makes me sad because they are soooo amazing and caring at their office. It also means not getting weekly peaks and hearing the heartbeat of our growing little miracle every week. That's OK though, it means that both baby and Mommy are doing good enough to be released into regular care!! Mommy is still feeling nauseous from time to time, it seems to mostly happen at night. She's still really tired too, but being back to work full time and in session really didn't make the transition super easy!! She just keeps reminding herself that next week is a short week since Thanksgiving is coming!!!! And if I have to be sick so that we can have a healthy baby than that's exactly what this Mommy will do!!!!

A Freezing Finale

All good things must come to an end, and yesterday the Bullet's football season came to an end. We lost to Maroa-Forsyth 13-6. The boys battled hard, and truly left their hearts on the field. They have so much to be proud of, making to the Quarter-Finals is something WHS hasn't done in 20 years!!!

The weather was brutal!!! The wind was blowing about 25 mph and boy was it chilly!!! Alex's little eyes were watering before we even made it to the field. He wasn't a very happy camper at all. He ended up hunkering down underneath a blanket while laying on my chest and snoozed for pretty much the first half. Grandma came and visited at half time and took him to get some popcorn which entertained him for the 3rd quarter, but he was hunkered down again for the 4th quarter. He was such a little trooper. I could hear him under the covers yelling GO GO GO!!! The little man loves football!!! We're awful thankful that this was the only bad weather we endured this season!!! Now all our football attention goes to the Chicago Bears!!!!

Alex Shares some Special News!!

Alex went to daycare today to share some very special news with everyone. . . . Just like his shirt says. . . . This Little Dude is Going to be a BIG BROTHER!!!!! The ladies at daycare were so happy for us and Alex too!! They know the last few weeks have been pretty rough on Mom, so they were glad that all the suffering will bring a very happy end result!!! Alex doesn't really understand what's going on yet, but there's still plenty of time before the little one arrives!

After telling everyone the news we headed to Panera to eat lunch with Nana. Then she came over to help do some cleaning and laundry. Thanks so much for all your help Nana!! You're the Best!!!
