20 Questions

Today on our way to Jacksonville I used the time to ask the kids the annual 20 Questions to ask your kids on their birthday!  For the most part I feel like their answers were pretty accurate for what happens in our daily life and not just random answers.  Alex and Amelia both asked Adam and me questions when I was done asking them questions.  It was pretty entertaining!

Alex's Responses:
 1.  What is your favorite color? Orange & Blue
 2.  What is your favorite toy? Cars, semis, and diggers (he's been playing with these a lot lately)
 3.  What is your favorite fruit? Watermelon
 4.  What is your favorite TV show? Star Wars
 5.  What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Hamburger & Corn on the Cob (usually it's PBJ)
 6.  What is your favorite outfit? Comfy shorts and the same shirt everyday (he has a rotation of about four shirts that are really too small, which is super annoying!!! If they don't hit the top of his hip bone they are considered too big and he won't wear them.  We've had lots of arguments over this!)
 7.  What is your favorite game? Playing Star Wars on the iPad
 8.  What is your favorite snack? Gum (he's really into these days and considers it a snack.)
 9.  What is your favorite animal? Lion
10. What is your favorite song? Anything by Katy Perry, especially Roar
11. What is your favorite book? Ratatouille
12. Who is your best friend? Ryan & Jack Ford, but they are more like brothers he says
13. What is your favorite cereal? Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cereal
14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Drive the Barbie Jeep & Gator
15. What is your favorite drink? Lemonade and water
16. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Baby (he doesn't go many places without him)
18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Waffles
19. What do you want for your birthday dinner? Hamburgers & Corn on the Cob
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? Rock Star

Amelia's Responses:
 1.  What is your favorite color? Pink & Purple
 2.  What is your favorite toy?  Barbies and the Dream House
 3.  What is your favorite fruit? Pineapple
 4.  What is your favorite TV show? Barbie (on Netflix).  She also loves Frozen--AKA Let it Go
 5.  What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Yogurt
 6.  What is your favorite outfit? Shorts and Little Mermaid shirt  (She's really into dresses too)
 7.  What is your favorite game? Playing Princesses and Wash the Car on the iPad
 8.  What is your favorite snack? Fruit snacks
 9.  What is your favorite animal? Elephant with a trunk
10. What is your favorite song? Royals by Lorde  (She calls it "Trippin in the Bathroom"
11. What is your favorite book? Princesses ( A new book she got for her birthday)
12. Who is your best friend? Khloee (from daycare)
13. What is your favorite cereal? Lucky Charms
14. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Ride my bike (She's just getting the hang of the tricyle)
15. What is your favorite drink? Milk
16. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? My Blankie
18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Yogurt and cottage cheese
19. What do you want for your birthday dinner? Chicken nuggets and French fries
20. What do you want to be when you grow up? I don't know, then she says a princess!!

20 Questions

Last year I started asking Alex 20 questions so we could see how his answers changed over the years.  Here are the questions and the answers.  Several of the answers were the same.  Here is last year's Q&A.

1.  What is your favorite color? Orange  (same as last year)
 2.  What is your favorite toy?  Incredible Hulk action figure (he likes all his super heroes and Star Wars)
 3.  What is your favorite fruit?  Strawberry
 4.  What is your favorite TV show?  Scooby Doo (same as last year)
 5.  What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?  Peanut butter and jelly (he could eat this everyday!)
 6.  What is your favorite outfit?  Spiderman shirt (It's what he was wearing.  Same as last year)
 7.  What is your favorite game? Zombies on the iPad
 8.  What is your favorite snack?  Sucker (That's what he's eating while I ask these questions)
 9.  What is your favorite animal? Monkey
10.  What is your favorite song? Ho Hey by the Lumineers.   He calls it "Sleeping in my Bed."
11.  What is your favorite book? Give a Mouse a Cookie
12.  Who is your best friend? Daddy
13.  What is your favorite cereal?  Cinnabon 
14.  What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play football (It's really driving his gator.)
15.  What is your favorite drink? Orange Juice (same as last year)
16.  What is your favorite holiday?  Mother's Day and stay home days.
17.  What do you like to take to bed with you at night? My baby (same as last year)
18.  What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? cereal (it's usually pancakes or Pop-Tarts)
19.  What do you want for your birthday dinner?  Trees (clearly being silly at this point!)
20.  What do you want to be when you grow up?  A big boy or a fireman/policeman

I attempting asking Amelia the questions, but it was pretty much a lost cause.  I guess that's why the suggestion was to start on their 3rd birthday!

20 Questions

I came across an idea on Pinterest that I'm actually going to do!!!  It's 20 Questions to ask your child on their birthday starting at the age of three.  Then every year you ask the same questions to see how your child grows and changes.  So tonight I asked Alex all the questions.  Here are his responses:

 1.  What is your favorite color? Orange  (I'm surprised he didn't say rojo--red in Spanish).
 2.  What is your favorite toy?  Tractor (I thought it would be his Gator).
 3.  What is your favorite fruit?  Apple
 4.  What is your favorite TV show?  Scooby Doo
 5.  What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?  Dora Sketti-O's (ie: Spaghetti-O's)
 6.  What is your favorite outfit?  Spiderman shirt (It's what he was wearing)
 7.  What is your favorite game?  I don't know.  (We don't play lots of games)
 8.  What is your favorite snack?  Goldfish
 9.  What is your favorite animal? Lion (I thought it would be monkey).
10.  What is your favorite song? The Letters "BOQNA"  (I think he means the Alphabet, but who knows)
11.  What is your favorite book? That's Not my Monster (He also really loves Go Dog Go!)
12.  Who is your best friend? Brenna (Usually he says his dad.)
13.  What is your favorite cereal?  Apple Jacks
14.  What is your favorite thing to do outside? Drive my rojo car
15.  What is your favorite drink? Orange Juice (He's obsessed, so is Amelia)
16.  What is your favorite holiday?  I don't know.  Then he says "Let's see the coo coo clocks."
17.  What do you like to take to bed with you at night? My baby
18.  What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Yogurt with strawberries (That's what he had today.)
19.  What do you want for your birthday dinner?  Fruit snacks
20.  What do you want to be when you grow up?  Spiderman, but he says Spidermam.
