He really has to do everything Alex does these days.
Alex also found a mini baby bear in his toy box tonight.
Of course, he's in love!!!
Today we had to wake Alex up, but he asked to eat and drink so we thought we were off to a good start. He ate about half his breakfast and up it came. We got his clothes and diaper changed and realized that his diaper was as dry as when we put it on last night. So, Mommy stayed home again with the little man. We waited for the Dr's office to open and gave them a call. We were really worried he was dehydrated. They told us to come in and they would check him out. He had lost 2 lbs since visiting last week. They decided to do blood work on him to see if we should go get an IV or not. Needless to say, having his blood drawn was a traumatic experience. Two people held him down while another one drew this blood. They wouldn't let me help because they were afraid Alex would kick me and hurt the baby. We walked away with several stickers and a very bruised ego, but we survived. They called a few hours later and said he was on the borderline, so our goal for today was to get 16 oz of fluid in him. We pushed Gatorade all day with semi success.
My friend Gwen, whose a nurse, called and said popsicles would count as fluid. Alex enjoyed one after nap time, and so did the Baby Bears. No puking has occurred today, but he's still had diarrhea and we've finally managed a few wet diapers. Tonight Alex really started eating and drank about 6 oz of water, so we're really hoping this is the beginning of the end. Daddy is going to stay home with Alex tomorrow. Mommy hasn't been to work since Thursday, and she really has some things she needs to get done!!!
