Children's Museum

Amelia's ready for a nap!

Adam and I neither one have the words to explain how amazing this Children's Museum is.  The kids could have stayed for days and played.  The whole thing has recently been redone, and it's so perfect for little kids.  It's set up like a small town and really is hands on.  The kids can be firefighters at the fire station (Alex visited that area multiple times), mail carriers, vets, pizza makers, grocery store clerk, farmer, construction operator, and on and on.  They also had a water area, that was a big hit!

I sure wish we had one of these in Springfield.  I hear there's a good one in Bloomington, guess we need to go check it out!

The Adam Kershaw family slept pretty well last night, however the Travis Kershaw family did not.  Poor Izzy is getting a cold and really struggling to breathe.  Uncle Travis seems to be having the same problem, and unfortunately Aunt Sara is just a milk maid so she had to be up too.

Regardless, we are up and at em and headed to the Children's Museum for a fun filled afternoon!!

Hanging Out

After Monkey Joe's we headed home and hung out for the evening.  Aunt Sara made tacos and guacamole and the kids did a fine job of dragging out ever toy Evalee owned.  It was a great!  I brought Mickey and Minnie cookies for the kids to have, and Amelia really enjoyed licking all the black icing off her cookie and her brothers.  (Side note:  her poop was disgusting from all the dye in the icing.  Gross!!)

Both Alex and Amelia loved holding Izzy.  Alex was smitten with her.  He's recently asked me if there was a baby in my belly.  I think he's got baby fever.  No worries, because this Momma doesn't.  Maybe later, but not now.  As a matter of fact, I told Sara that I loved Izzy but she didn't pull at my heart strings to make me want to have another.  She told me that's exactly how she felt when Amelia was little. 

Monkey Joes's

 

We went to Monkey Joe's to bounce around for a while.  The kids had a ton of fun running from one bounce house to the next, and then down the slide and up and around again.  It was over two hours of none-stop-go!!!  It was sooo much fun for the kids.  I've told Adam I think we should open a franchise of it, but he's not totally convinced.  I know without a doubt Alex and Amelia would love to go back time and time again!
