Fix it Daddy

This morning Adam gave the kids Pop Tarts for breakfast.  Not long after Amelia calls out for her Daddy. 

Amelia-- "Daddy, come fix this." 
Daddy-- "What's wrong?
Amelia-- "My Pop Tart isn't working.  I tried to put it in my mouth but I can't bite it."
Daddy proceeds to break the Pop Tart in two, ask her if that is better.
Amelia--"Yes.  Thank you Daddy for fixing my Pop Tart."

Alex proceeded to tell me that it had ran out of batteries.  What are we teaching these kids?!

Big News

Tonight we told Alex and Amelia our big news.  They are going to be a big brother and sister in October!!!  It took a while for them to get it, but they seem pretty excited!  I can't get the video to upload.

Yard Work

 

After a day of traveling I was so glad to be home.  It was gorgeous outside, so we headed out to do a little yard work.  Amelia was interested in helping me, but Alex not so much.  We're so glad the nice weather is finally here.

Aaron & Mihaela's Wedding

 

 

I was so upset that I forgot my camera at home, so these grainy phone pictures will have to do.  The weather wasn't what we were hoping it to be, but the wedding more than made up for it.  Mihaela looked beautiful and Aaron was over the moon, that so much of his Illinois family made it to Texas to celebrate their special day!

 

It was a whirlwind trip, but well worth it.  I'm so glad I got to go.  Congratulations to the happy couple!

Daddy, Alex, and Amelia represented our family at Miss Evalee Ann's 4th Birthday party today.  Up until last week she had wanted a Frozen party.  Then she decided while visiting us last week that she wanted Candyland.  So a candy extravaganza it was.  The weather was beautiful and the kids spent a lot of time playing outside.  It sounds like everyone had a great time.  Happy Birthday Evalee!

Daddy/Daughter Date Night

 

Today, I flew to Dallas, TX for my cousin's wedding.  Alex's first soccer game was cancelled because of rain.  He wasted no time making a play date with his buddy Ryan.  Daddy and Amelia went out for dinner and to Ergadoozy for their own date.  Fun all the way around!

First Soccer Practice

 

 

 

 

 

Tonight Alex had his first soccer practice.  It was pretty much craziness since the coach wasn't there and no one really knew what was going on.  Somehow we managed to get through it, and it looks like Daddy going to be doing a little bit of coaching.  Alex had a blast and is looking forward to his first game. Amelia and Kinley enjoyed throwing grass and playing games on our phones.
