Playing Video Games

Tonight Daddy got done with school really early tonight.  That's what happens when there are only two people in the class and then only one shows up.  Alex really wanted to play the Wii, but he just can't really play any of the games we have.  We had bought him a kids Wii Fit board with Dora and Diego games on it for Easter.  We decided to bust it out early for him to play with it, plus we won't be home next week to try it out.  He had so much fun playing it.  I think we may have a little gamer on our hands!!!

Mashed Potatoes

Today Amelia was still running a low grade fever, so I decided to stay home with her.  We were able to get in at the Dr's office this morning.  Basically, they said she had a cold and that teething was probably a big factor.  She weighed in at 19lbs 12oz.  So she's a growing machine.  I wanted to get her checked out because next week Mommy and Daddy leave for Mexico for a week, and we don't want the grandparents having to deal with sick kids.  Fingers crossed she starts feeling better and that darn tooth comes in.

She was pretty much miserable and crabby all day long.  Nothing I did was good enough for her, so it made for a great day let me tell you.  I finally got her to eat mashed potatoes at supper time, and boy did she love them.  These also happen to be one of my favorite foods, as well as Alex's.

10 Months Old

I keep forgetting to take Amelia's 10 month pictures and why I chose today when she doesn't feel good is beyond me.  Basically, it's because I remembered to do it and we were at home so I went with it.  She was not having any of it, so this is what you get.  I later took her temperature and she had a 100.5 fever, so it's no wonder she didn't want to play supermodel.

Oh Dinkarita (that's what Daddy calls you), how we love having you in our lives.  You are a happy girl most of the time, but this teething business is no joke with you.  One top tooth has popped through, but we're still waiting for the other one to make it's appearance.  You are continuing to grow and change everyday.  You have completely stopped eating baby food and love love love to eat whatever we are eating.  You are a great sleeper and sleep for about 12 hours each night.  The only problem is now your brother is waking up every night.  We just can't seem to win!!

You are trying very hard to say 'dog' when you see Briggs and have gotten very good at shaking your finger and saying 'no, no, no'  The other day I think you even tried to say Alex, but only got out the 'A' part.  You love your brother a lot, but you let him know when he is encroaching on your space.  You are a pretty hard headed, decisive little thing.  You are going to keep us on our toes, but we wouldn't have it any other way.  Love you baby girl!!!

Driving Miss EE

Miss Amelia is really not feeling well today.  She's super snotty and is teething, and just wants her blanket.  What a bummer.  Alex and Evalee got in some playtime before we packed up the car and headed back home.  It was a fun weekend with family!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Evalee

Evalee loves to watch The Cat & the Hat Know all About That in TV, so it was only fitting for her the cat to be her birthday theme.  Her Mommy and friend took on the task of making the birthday cake from scratch.  I think it turned out pretty awesome and it tasted great too.  EE loved having everybody Happy Birthday to her, so we did it twice.  She was beaming.  I think the girl had a pretty great day!!
