You'd Never Know

that these two kids have strep throat.  We had to stay home today since they haven't been on antibiotics for 24 hours yet.  It was so beautiful outside, that's where we spent a good part of the day.  I just enjoyed being home with my two little love bugs!!

Learning

So today I again stayed home with the kids since they have to be on antibiotics for 24 hours before they can return to daycare.  I decided to stay positive, and be thankful that I have a job that allows me to have paid time off.  I tried to take advantage and get some things done around the house and went into the bedroom and found Alex's coat and hat hanging up.  OK, so maybe it's not in the right spot but he's learning to pick up after himself and really this knob it the perfect height for him!!

He doesn't even need the jacket today as it's in the 80s again today, so we'll be spending the whole day outside and airing out the house of all these sick germs!!!

Strep Throat!!!

Today we made a call to the Dr's office because we were pretty sure both kids had strep throat.  Alex told us yesterday his throat hurt and last night Amelia was screaming inconsolably.   Luckily we just had to go in for a quick swab test, and yes sure enough it was positive for both of them.  Daddy's throat has been hurting too and he has refill on an antibiotic so we're going to be treating all three of the them for strep throat.  I tell you if we have a healthy week we're going to be real lucky!!

Tylenol is amazing and I know antibiotics will help, so in the mean time we're just going to play outside and enjoy this insanely unseasonable 80 degree weather we are having in March!!!

Trivia Night

Last night Aunt Sara, Uncle Travis, Evalee, Aunt Ashley, and Uncle Trevor all came down.  They hung out at our house until we got back from the wedding, then we visited for a bit and then put very tired kids to bed.  The whole point of this trip was so that Mommy and Aunt Sara could go to the big biannual Twins Sale.  We went in October and found tons of great things for the kids, so we didn't want to miss it this spring.  We didn't find as many great things, but still had fun shopping together.

We decided to make a weekend of the visit so that's what we did.  Grandma & Papa's church was having a trivia night so we headed to Virden to participate.  We did OK, but it wasn't because I contributed anything!!!  I know all the guys had fun though!!!  Since I wasn't much of a participant this is the only time over the course of the weekend that I managed to take any pictures.  I know Aunt Ashley will have some to share with me, but I just sent her an email asking for them, so I'll post them when she sends them our way!

Kissing Machine

 Amelia got the kissing machine from Daddy and Uncle Travis.  This is something that happens fairly regularly to our children.  We love to cover them in kisses.  The kissing machine was something that always happened to me growing up and it's a tradition I'm proud to pass on to my babies!!!  Thanks to Aunt Sara for sharing these pictures with us.

Kevin & Hannah's Wedding

Mommy stayed home with Amelia today.  No more puking, just pooping now.  I could tell she was feeling better, but it's one of those things where you feel better, start to exert some energy and then get really tired.  She would play and be so happy and then crash, she did this several times today.  But over all was much better.

We then got dressed up and headed down to Gillespie for Mommy's cousin's wedding.  Kevin and Hannah had a nice intimate wedding and reception.  Of course, the kids loved dancing but I could tell Alex wasn't feeling 100%.  I just knew he was next.  It made me even more nervous knowing we had a house full of family coming into town.  All in all, we had a wonderful evening.  May God Bless Kevin and Hannah Kozemczak on their wedding day!!!
