Happy Birthday Uncle Jacob

It's been a rough week for this little girl.  I went to get her out of bed this morning and there was puke everywhere.  She never cried, but was just hunkered down in a little corner of her crib that was semi-clean.  I felt so bad for her.  So Mommy called into work for the second time this week.  Since Daddy was gone I decided it was just as easy to keep Alex home as it was risking putting Amelia in the car and then her puking everywhere.  It was a Mommy gamble, but it was one I had to take!!

Amelia napped a lot through out the day, and was keeping her food down. So things were looking up.  We decided to give Uncle Jacob a call to wish him Happy Birthday.  He snapped a few photos of them while they were talking and sent them to us.  It was fun to listen to Alex sing Happy Birthday to Jacob and watching Amelia wave and smile.  Isn't technology amazing???  Being able to see and hear someone who is all the way in New York on a little hand held device!!!

Then Daddy came home, we ate dinner and Amelia proceeded to projectile vomit all over Daddy and the kitchen floor that I had just mopped!!!!  So, I guess I'll be calling in sick again tomorrow!!

Bubble Bath

Tonight Amelia cashed out early, so Alex enjoyed a bath all to himself.  He was so excited to have bubbles everywhere.  It made bath time so much fun.  

We sure wish Daddy was here, but he's in Indiana tonight.  He's taking a class so he can teach College Prep classes at the high school level.  He's been gone a lot this week, but somehow we are making it through the week!!!

A Load Full

Tonight Alex decided he wanted a bath upstairs.  Most nights we take baths in our bathroom downstairs.  Of course Daddy was gone, so I had to haul everything upstairs by myself.  I figured the basket was the easiest way until Alex decided he wanted to ride too.  Carrying 50+ pounds up the stairs in a clothes basket is hard work!!!

Good Morning!!

Today Mommy called into work because Daddy had the day off from school.  Today is Casmir Pulaski Day, but I don't anybody that actually celebrates this day.  Today we were up and at em early even though it was an extra stay home day.  We were productive though. . .  we went and started Amelia's college fund and picked up a few things at Target and then had lunch at Smashburger.  This afternoon we took naps and hung out before Daddy had to go teach his speech class at Benedictine.

I Need a Doctor!

From these pictures you can't tell that this little girl has been snotty and crabby all weekend long.  She always seems to have a smile on her face!!  We've done a lot of cuddling and hanging out this weekend, as I haven't felt 100% either.  Amelia may be telling me she thinks I need to take her back to the doctor's office though.  Hopefully she'll start feeling better and me too!!

Trying to Walk

After some Tylenol and a nap Amelia seems to be feeling much better, so tonight we busted out this little toy to help Amelia with her walking.  She seems pretty interested in it, so I thought we'd help her out.  She's still trying to figure it all out, but I don't think it will be very long before she gets the hang of it.  She for sure can get where she wants to go pretty quick.  She's a crawling machine and is pulling up on anything and everything.  Alex busted out his lawn mower so that he would have something to push as well.  He doesn't like to be out done by his sister.

Tonight we hung out without Daddy. He spent his Friday night at the high school teaching an ACT review class.  So it's not the funnest thing to do, but it is easy money.  Thanks for your hard work Daddy!!!

9 Month Stats

Today we headed to the Dr. for Amelia's 9 month well baby visit.  Unfortunately, she wasn't feeling too well.   Yesterday she started getting snotty and woke up today even more congested.  By time I picked her up from daycare for her appointment she was running a fever of 100.5.  When we got to the Dr it was 100.3.  Since she didn't have to have any shots they went ahead and did her well baby exam and she is growing wonderfully.  She's hit all the milestones she needs to and is a healthy baby girl.  Let's hope she starts feeling better!!

Today Amelia weighed in at 18lbs 4oz (61%), 27" long (23%) and head circumference 17" (53%).  You are wearing a size 3 diaper and can wear clothes ranging from 6 months to 18 months just depending on what brand it is and whether or not it's been shrunk!  We love you pretty girl!!
