34 Weeks Pregnant

Today we officially only have 6 weeks until we meet you little one! Everyone says the time has gone by so quickly, but I'm going to have to disagree. It feels like a lifetime ago that we found out I was pregnant and had to be on bed rest for a while. I'm not going to complain, because you are almost here however I am ready to be done being pregnant. This last week you have wreaked havoc on Mommy's body. My hips, lower back, and tail bone are killing me. I even went last week and got a pregnancy massage. It felt great, but didn't really stop all the aches and pains I've been having. I think you liked it too, because every time she massaged my lower back you moved all around. You are a very active baby and love to push your butt up into my ribcage. I almost feel like it's bruised. You must be growing lots and running out of room to move. We can't wait to meet you!!

After the book signing we headed back over to Grandma & Grandpa's for a little while to wrap up our family time. We had two pretty crabby little kids on our hands, as they hadn't had a nap all day so it was pretty short lived. Uncle Trevor gave Daddy a copy of his own book. Weird you might think, but it was a special copy. He had everyone that came to the book signing today sign a copy for Adam. It's a pretty neat way to remember our already special day.

Uncle Adam, the Super Hero

Uncle Adam might not have written a super hero novel, but he was Gabbi's super hero today. She was eating a sandwich and it caused the wire of her braces to come out. It was poking her in the back of the mouth and causing severe pain. She just couldn't trust Daddy with the needle-nose pliers to pull out the wire, but she knew Uncle Adam could get the job done. It hurt and it wasn't fun but Uncle Adam not only signed books today, he also performed emergency orthodontics!!

I told Gabbi she was lucky it happened today and not later on this week when she's all alone with Papa in Washington DC. I have no clue how he would have handled the situation, but I'm guessing not as well as Uncle Adam did!!

Paxton enjoyed his first taste of chocolate today.

Today we headed to Virden and had lunch with the family before going uptown to the bookstore for Daddy's book signing. We had a great turn out of both family and friends. We went through all 40 copies that George had on hand, and even sold the copies that we had in our car. We know an order for about 20 more needs to be placed, plus several people have ordered copies online. We think we're getting close to having sold 100 copies. A pretty good start we think.

We truly feel so blessed, and are so thankful we have so many friends and family to share in our excitement. Guess Daddy needs to get writing another novel!! We Love You and are soooo proud of you Daddy!!!
