I Can't See!!

I picked Alex up from daycare the other day and by time we got home he had fallen asleep. Probably because he couldn't see a thing!

Feeding Myself!!

Alex has been working on his fine motor skills this last week. He's started eating Cheerios and Gerber fruit and vegetable puffs. He sometimes has to put his whole fist in his mouth to get the food in the there, but he manages pretty well. This is also a great way to keep him confined and entertained while I actually get his food ready to eat. Since Christmas I have been making most of Alex's food. I've really enjoyed doing it. Today he had a sweet potatoes and bananas!

Bustin' Through

The little man has been a drooling machine as of late, and today he proved why. . . we've got another bottom tooth bustin' through! He was pretty fussy this afternoon, but some Orajel and Tylenol have done the trick!! We also bought a little gum/tooth brusher for Alex, so it looks like we need to start using that.

Today I've worked on taking down Christmas decorations, everything is down, but the tree (just need to take the lights off) and the outside lights. It's just entirely too cold to go outside and take down lights, but let's be honest that is Daddy's job anyway!! Adam worked on adding extra insulation to the attic above our bedroom and in the family room. We're hoping that we'll add a little extra warmth to the house!

We also had an escapee dog today. Adam drove around for about 30 minutes trying to find Briggs, but with no luck. About an hour later he came trotting up the drive way. The garage door was left open last night and Briggs jumped over his pen in the garage and was gone. We have no idea how long he was gone, but luckily he returned home safely. He's been sleeping most of the day, so we're guessing he was out running around for most of the night!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Today Alex rings in his first New Year and his 7 month birthday!! This last month has flown by and Alex is continuing to grow just as fast!! This last month we've settled into the new house, celebrated Daddy finishing his Master's Degree, Alex's 1st Emergency Room visit, 1st tooth and 1st Christmas. Quite a bit of activity for such a little guy! Alex is finally really growing some hair and is outgrowing outfit after outfit!! He's also learning how to play peek-a-boo. He's such a happy baby when he's with Mommy or Daddy, but beware if they aren't around!!! Last night he spent the night at Nana & Papa's and kept Nana awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night crying!! What a little bratsy!!
