Egg Hunt at Grandma's House

After lunch we drove to Virden to visit with Grandma & Papa.  Grandma had tons of eggs hidden for Alex and Amelia to hide.  She even designated certain colors for each one to find so that they each got their fair share.  Grandma and the kids went back out to find one sneaky little egg, but it was finally found!  We had hamburgers for dinner and then headed home.  It was a busy day, but an eggcellent one.

After mass we headed to Rockbridge to have lunch with the Meehan's.  Uncle Mike made the most amazing brisket.  Of course, we all ate entirely too much and left full and happy.  The kids enjoyed taking turns swinging at the piñata, though Amelia wanted no part in it.  Stuffing the piñata full of candy is way easier than filling and hiding eggs, and is just as much fun!  It was a beautiful day, and we feel extremely blessed in our lives.

Ada wasn't super impressed with her first Easter.  She did like the new ball the Easter Bunny brought her, but she was less than thrilled with me trying to get some cute pictures of her in her Easter dress.  After a quick feed she at least didn't cry.  I plan to get a few pictures taken in her dress for her 6 month photo shoot. 

Happy Early Birthday Uncle Jordan

Tonight we celebrated Uncle Jordan's birthday a little early since we were together and he was actually home!  This year he turns 28!!

Sink Bath

 

Tonight Ada had her first sink bath.  She wasn't super impressed.  She can't really sit up on her own yet, so she was all over the place.  Bottom line is she has a clean bottom now!

Easter Festivities

 

Today we headed to Nana & Papa's to spend some time with Uncle Jordan and Aunt Barb.  Per our usual Easter tradition, Nana had plenty of hard boiled eggs ready to color.  Can I mention how hard it is to pack up 5 people for an overnight stay.  Wow, it's work!!  But the fun the kids have together is well worth it, not to mention a home cooked meal from my momma!!

Try this Jelly Bean

Gabbi went to Disney with her friend on spring break.  She brought back jelly beans from Harry Potter World.  Most of them were things like dirt, snot, blood, and other gross things.  Gabbi loved trying to convince people to eat them.  Alex clearly was disgusted, yet entertained.  Uncle Adam humored her, and so did Papa.
