Today was a big day for Dad, who believe it or not is writing this blog entry. Aaron got recognized for Chicago Bears coach of the week, and I got to go along with him. We had absolutely amazing weather for the game. It was almost 60 degrees at kickoff. It's not too often that you can visit soldier field in December and not wear a coat!
Before the game Aaron and I tailgates with Brad Zara, Damon and Amelia Vignali, and Josh Gentile. With about five minutes left in the first half, Aaron and I got to walk down onto the field and watch the rest of the half from the sidelines. We were standing on the Bears sideline, at about the twenty yard line, only a few feet from Lovie Smith, Devin Hester, and Lance Briggs. It was absolutely amazing! The only thing that could have made it any better would have been if the Bears pulled out the victory. Sadly, though, they lost in OT to the Seattle Seahawks. All in all, though, it was a great experience and an awesome weekend. I'm glad Aaron got some of the recognition he deserves, and I was absolutely thrilled that I got to be there with him on Soldier field! It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!
Mom Note: Mommy shopped with the girls today. I mainly bought for myself. Oops!!
