Great Grandma Furness getting Amelia's nose!!

Evalee was really enjoying opening her gifts until she opened her tool box full of tools and then it was a struggle to get her to open anymore.  We fixed that by having her use her tools as a gift opening device.  Alex and Amelia enjoyed playing with the tools as well.  Evalee was pretty excited about the digital camera that Grandma and Papa Kershaw got her.  She kept saying "Cheese!"  Alex liked it to. . .  rumor has it he could get one for his birthday as well!!!

The best gift might have been the swing-set that all Daddy, uncles, and grandpa's helped put together.  Aunt Ashley took lots of pictures of the kids enjoying it, so we'll share those when we get them.  I stayed inside with Amelia because it was pretty cool outside and she isn't feeling 100%.

Put Me Down

Today we headed to Orion for Evalee's 2nd birthday party.  The kids all loved playing with Donald Duck who is dressed like the Easter Bunny.  He quacks around and sings, but if you pick him up by his ears he yells, "Put me down!"  Alex and EE thought it was hilarious and walked around saying "put me down."  Amelia was pretty entertained too!

Grand Opening

Today was the Grand Opening of the County Market in Sherman!!  Everyday for months we have driven by the construction site.  We've literally watched this store be built from the ground up.  Alex has loved watching the diggers working.  He's been making a grocery list for when the store opens.  Today we couldn't miss the opportunity to get in on the grand opening action, and really neither could the whole community.  There were soooo many people there!  Alex ran into his friends from daycare, Brenna and Jack Ford.  They acted like they hadn't seen each other in years.  Alex and Jack were excited that they were both getting to buy the same ball!!  Amelia got a ball too.

We grabbed a few items as we squeezed through the crowds, including bananas and corn dogs that were on Alex's list.  Then we waited in line for about 15 minutes to check out.  We missed the opportunity to see the fire truck, but we did get to visit with Chester the Chicken and check out some of the diggers.  Alex truly was in heaven tonight!!!  We're so glad that we have a local grocery store now!!

Just a Swinging

This morning Mommy went with a friend to the movies to see The Hunger Games and Alex went to the park to play and have picnic with Miss Lisa, so Amelia and Daddy chilled at home.  This afternoon we again enjoyed beautiful weather in our backyard.  Daddy and Alex fixed Amelia's swing so she could swing in it.  Briggs had chewed the straps of it.  So today was her inaugural swing.

What a fun afternoon, until Amelia decided that her gums hurt and be a big old crab!!!  One of her top teeth has barely popped through and the other one is still waiting to make an appearance.  Nothing I did for her helped, so she finally just was taken to bed!

Girl Time

Today the boys took a long afternoon nap, so Amelia and I hung out on the porch and enjoyed a little girl time.

App-sessed

Tonight we had an 'emergency coaches meeting' ie people over for beers.  Alex loved playing with all the apps on Robbie's iPhone that we now have to get for him. He had just as fun on a Friday night as we did.  Good times!!!
