Footed Jammies

It's only 14 degrees tonight so I thought it was appropriate that Alex ask for his jammies with slippers in them tonight. We're warm and cozy watching TV tonight while Daddy is teaching class.

The kids have enjoyed playing with all the letters they got for Christmas in the bathtub. It looks a bit like alphabet soup.

Yesterday we headed back to the doctor yet again. Both kids have been battling snotty noses and coughs since they finished their last round of antibiotic for sinus infections. So needless to say, we are on meds again and Amelia needs breathing treatments. Truly the fun never ends around here. Amelia weighed in today at 18lbs 4oz. She just keeps growing!

Today Amelia is much better but Alex still isn't good so It's another stay home day for Alex & Mommy. He never shows he has a fever but he feels awful warm so I'd rather error on the side of caution and let him rest today. I know he doesn't feel good when he asks to take naps! He wanted to sleep with me this afternoon and I couldn't let him down, so a long nap we had.

Tomorrow we're back to the grind.

Church just wore Amelia out this morning. She looks so pretty and peaceful that I just had to take a picture and cherish the moment of quiet.

Playing Around

The kids are really enjoying all their new toys from Christmas.  Alex even had Baby on a tractor, while he was on his digger and they were crashing into each other.  Amelia is content just hanging out in one spot and playing.  That won't be happening for much longer I'm sure.

We spent New Year's Day hanging on the couch watching the Bears' end their season with a win.  Alex and Daddy matched in their new Cutler jerseys and Amelia and Mommy matched in their Urlacher jerseys.  It was a great relaxing family day!

Last night we celebrated the New Year with a few friends at our house:  the Calderon's, Manar's, & Surratt's all came to hang out.  It was pretty low key, but we enjoyed visiting and the kids had a blast ransacking the house.  Special thanks to all the Mom's for helping pick up before they left. 

Only the Surratt's stayed until midnight and somehow we actually missed Midnight and celebrated at 12:03 am!!  Don't know how it happened but it did, let's just say the Dick Clark Special let us down.  Believe it or not little Mr. Alexander even stayed up to ring in the New Year!!

We were truly blessed in 2011.  We're praying 2012 will be even better!  Happy New Year Friends & Family!!  We love you all!
