It was awful hard getting pictures with family considering Alex wanted nothing to do with most of them unless he was in the arms of Momma. Last night even Daddy was unacceptable. Alex was fine with everyone from a distance, so it made playing with him somewhat of a challenge. He didn't sleep well either. He kept waking up in his pack and play, so he slept with me on the air mattress and Daddy slept on the couch. This kid is just a home body!!! But really his cuteness makes up for his orneriness!!

Road Trip

Yesterday we headed up to the Quad Cities for a visit to Uncle Travis and Aunt Sara's and to see the rest of the Kershaw family too. Alex did amazing in the car. He took a little nap and played so well with his toys. What a sweet boy we have!!

A Cute Boy

Alex went to work with Mommy on Friday. He helped me do a few things around the office and then we headed to the his Dr's appointment. We had to make sure the ear infection he had was completely gone. He weighed in at 23 lbs 4 oz!! Wow, what a big boy!!! His ears checked out good and he got his flu and H1N1 boosters. You would have thought he was being murdered, but believe it or not he lived!!! After the appointment we headed home and snuggled on the couch all afternoon!! It was great!!

Speaking of great, Mommy has some great news too!! She's getting a new job!!! She has one more week of work and then she'll be working for the Secretary of the Senate's Office. She's really excited because she gets to keep working for the Senate, but will have new responsibilities and will have to work very few late hours. That means more time with her two favorite boys!! YAY for Mommy and us too!!!

I just love this little clean naked boy!!! He'll hate me some day for this, but oh well it's one of the joys of motherhood!!

Trying to Crawl

Alex decided tonight to make an attempt to crawl. He's able to move himself in a circle or he puts his butt up in the air and then pulls forward a bit kind of like an inchworm!! I'm guessing it won't be much longer!! Guess it's time to start thinking about baby proofing!!

8 Months Old

Alexander is 8 months today!! Time is flying by so quickly, and Alex is growing and changing just as fast! You are still a Momma's boy, and most of the time I can't complain about it. You definitely know if you want to be with Mom or Dad and tell us all about!! You love to sit on the floor and play with all your toys, but have no interest in crawling yet. Thanks OK with Mommy, because I know soon enough you'll be all over this house!! You love your Teddy Bear and a little monkey that has a butterfly on it that you love to chew on. You also like to play tug-o-war with your rings. You like when Daddy reads you book and makes silly noises. You have started to respond to your name. You just laugh and laugh! You love to play in the bathtub and splash around. You are really getting the concept of peek-a-boo, you love to sing 'The Wheels on the Bus' and are starting to say Dadda and wave good-bye! So many milestones in your little life! At night when you go to sleep you always nuzzle you face into the bed until you find just the perfect spot. It's one of my favorite things! You flirted with a little girl at church for the first time this week, and Daddy had to take you to the back of church because you were talking so loud to her. You are growing so big we had to install your big boy car seats. You love Miss Lisa at daycare so much that I plan your Dr's appointment around her days off. You truly are a sweet boy and we wouldn't trade you for the world!
